Mental Health & Wellbeing
Staff trained in Mental Health First Aid
The mental health and well-being of our children has always been our priority at CHI, even more so during the pandemic. As part of this focus, we have recently joined a cluster of schools working with the newly formed Mental Health Support Team, which provides early intervention on mental health and emotional wellbeing issues, such as mild to moderate anxiety, as well as helping us in school to provide a 'whole school approach' to mental health and wellbeing. Six members of staff have received Mental Health First Aid training, and other members of staff have also completed the Psychological First Aid Training (Public Health England) and Mental Health Champion (Place2Be) training, see link below. Our Governors have formed a Wellbeing Working Party to ensure that we are always mindful of the wellbeing of the children and the staff.
