Admissions for Reception - September 2025 

You may now book a school tour with us if you have a child due to start Reception in September 2025, full information and dates are given below.

Applications for places at Coombe Hill Infants school must be made to the Kingston Borough Admissions service, via the eAdmissions website, the year before your child starts school.   Applications for entry into Reception in September 2025 opened on 1 September 2025.  Children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021 are due to start reception class at primary school in September 2025.

We accept children into Reception in the September following their 4th birthday.  We do not have a nursery at Coombe Hill.

The national closing date for on-time applications to be considered in the first round of allocations is Wednesday 15 January 2025.

National Offer day is Wednesday 16 April 2025.   Information on the coordination of applications for the normal admissions round can be found on Kingston Council’s website https://www.kingston.gov.uk/schools-education/school-admissions-arrangements. 

Applications outside of the normal admissions round will processed in line with the in-year arrangements.

School tours for families due to start Reception in September 2025

We are pleased to offer a series of school tours to parents and carers with a child due to join Reception in September 2025. 

Please see the list of dates below.  All of our tours start at 9.15am and last for approximately one hour.

Please note that booking is essential.

You will be shown around our school by Mrs Berry (our Headteacher) or Mrs Jakob (our Deputy Headteacher).  

Both parents/carers are welcome to join the tour, and you may bring babies and toddlers with you if you cannot find alternative childcare.

Please note there is no parking on site, please use the surrounding streets if you are driving to school.

Mid-year Admissions into Reception, Year 1 and Year 2

If you are interested in your child joining our school (into Reception, Year 1 or Year 2), outside the point of the main Reception Admissions intake in September, please contact Kingston Borough Admissions service in order to apply, full details given in links below:

Please note that there is a waitlist for all of our year groups.  When you have registered your child for a place at our school they will be added to our waitlist and you can then call us to see what position they hold.  Please call Alison Reid, our Admissions Officer, on 020 8942 9481 to check this.

We do not have a nursery or pre-school setting at Coombe Hill.
